Lack of workspace and storage was the main concern for the family of four, with two small rooms that originally made up the separate kitchen and den area. Both homeowners liked to cook, but the original kitchen was tight and difficult to navigate with both in the space.
- By removing the wall between the two rooms, we were able to create a spacious kitchen with plenty of counter space and room for two people to cook simultaneously, without getting in each other’s way.
- A bar sink in the island allows two cooks to work efficiently in the kitchen. The island offers plenty of additional work space and an area for informal dining. A large commercial style range and refrigerator makes this kitchen ideal for entertaining.
- Storage lockers at back door give an area to hang up coats and hide backpacks. The wood top acts as a boot bench, with storage below.
